etter at England slo oss i kampen om 5.plassen. Fem lag foran oss skal vi være sånn passe fornøyd med, ikke minst med tanke på at Norge stilte med to par som ikke spiller fast sammen. Erk og Lars Arthur har vel være makkere noe, mens Børre Lund og Thor Erik Hoftaniska er debutanter sammen. Nivået er så bra der ute at det skal nesten mangle at våre nye kombinasjoner skal slå de aller beste europeiske nasjonene. Marit Sveaas International Bridge Tournament aims to be one of the top bridge tournaments in the world and are held annually in Norway. The tournament is sponsored by Christen Sveaas and Kistefos in memory of Mr. Sveaas mother Marit Sveaas. She was one of the leading female bridge players in Norway in the '70 and '80. The tournament has a large prize pool every year, and one of our most important goals is that everyone has a chance of winning a large prize. In that way we hope that regular club players can meet and beat world stars in bridge, and even winning a prize in doing so! The first editon was held in 2016 in Fredrikstad. In 2017 and 2018 we played in Oslo Opera House in maybe the most beautiful surroundings ever for a bridge tournament. In 2019 the tournament was held at Oslofjord Convention Center. In 2022 and 2023 the tournament was held in the olympic village of Lillehammer at Scandic Lillehammer Hotel. Now we are moving up north and for 2024 it will be held at Scandic Havet Hotel in Bodø.
Stian vant klart med ny makker Frank Indlagen den 2. kveld også, og troner klart på topp. Fra 2. plassen og nedover er imidlertid ingenting avgjort og det blir en spennede avslutning neste torsdag.
